Description | An argument as to why engineers need to understand management theory to improve the practice of engineering. We will examine a case story.

Objectives

  • Identify three tools applicable to the management of budget challenges.
  • Develop an understanding of risk and organizational politics.
  • Utilize the boundary-spanning role of leadership and the political process of influence to identify and advocate alternatives to “evenly spreading the pain.”
