We are seeking a talented and experienced Engineer to join our dedicated group of professionals in Harrisburg, PA.  As a Water & Wastewater Engineer, you are responsible for:

  • Preparing water and wastewater engineering project designs
  • Providing project review, QA/QC and compliance to client specific requirements
  • Preparing plans, specifications, and contract documents to enable the bidding of projects
  • Completing project permitting requirements
  • Representing client, project and/or HRG at various meetings
  • Serving as construction field engineer during construction of projects, which includes:
    • dealings with contractors
    • interpreting designs and specifications as required
    • preparation of work change directives and/or change orders

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with Environmental emphasis
  • Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Professional Engineering license
  • 4+ years’ experience involving the design of:
    • water distribution and treatment systems
    • wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment systems and processes
    • hydraulics
    • on lot systems
    • environmental assessments
  • Team player possessing strong communication, planning and organizational skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous experience with:
    • computer modeling of water systems
    • hydraulic design software
    • PA DEP regulations
  • Holds a valid Driver’s License to travel to job sites, meetings and regional offices
  • Has the legal right to work in the U.S.

Transportation/Traffic Project Manager

Due to increased business demands, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced traffic engineer to join our elite team of professionals in Harrisburg, PA.  The Transportation/Traffic Project Manager will successfully manage and design intersections, corridors, HOPs, MPT, and other related design projects and be a client-focused leader and team player with strong client relation, budgeting, communication, planning and organizational skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Managing traffic projects including scheduling and budgeting
  • Performing traffic project design (intersections, signalization, drainage, and pavement for traffic engineering projects)
  • Assist with traffic and transportation corridor or regional studies
  • Performing QA/QC and sealing plans and reports

Job Description: We are searching for a motivated individual to join our growing team of civil/site professionals as we design the communities in which we live, work, and play. Job Description

Perform engineering work relating to the design, construction, and operation of structural projects associated with Oil and Gas facility. This would include site assessments, project scoping, structural analysis and design, and specification writing. Provide structural engineering expertise, which may involve the adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Based on needs and criteria established by reviewing agencies, clients, government agencies, vendors, utilities, contractors, or other governing parties, perform all or specialized construction design related work. These projects may be characterized by unique or complex circumstances.
  • Responsibilities would include site assessments, project scoping, structural analysis and design, specification writing and working with structural designers to develop contract drawings.
  • May work with Project Managers on the following:
    • Scoping, estimating, and contract preparation
    • Bi-monthly monitoring of job progress and profitability.
    • Coordination of sub-consultant work.
    • Detailed design recommendations.
  • Work assignments could include industrial building superstructures and foundations, equipment foundations, utility bridges and supports, tank foundations, access platforms, catwalks, and stairs.
  • Work with the Project Manager and clients in a way which will promote the goals of teamwork, client satisfaction, continual improvement, and profitability.
  • Prepare reports and specifications, make meeting presentations as required, and obtain client and regulatory approvals as necessary.
  • May perform inspection of existing projects, and/or supervise inspection of water and wastewater work.

Required Experience

Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. Five years experience or the equivalent thereof with familiarity in specific structural engineering discipline requirements. Professional Engineering Licensure a plus.

Job Description

Complete design duties associated with H&H analysis, stormwater management, drainage design, E&S design, and permitting. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Includes the following – Other duties may be assigned: 

  • Performs design, analysis, planning and modeling under the direct supervision of senior engineering staff
  • Performs design and analysis of drainage conveyance systems, and stormwater management detention and infiltration basins under the direct supervision of senior engineering staff
  • Performs design and analysis of Erosion and Sedimentation Pollution Control Plans and Best Management Practices in accordance with PA Chapter 102 Regulations
  • Performs Erosion and Sedimentation Pollution Control Narrative Reports, Post Construction Stormwater Management Reports for NPDES Permits
  • Assists with Hydrologic and hydraulic studies to support bridge/culvert hydraulic analysis and erosion control design, and stream hydraulic assessments
  • Performs some or all of the following under the direct supervision of senior engineering staff: waterway encroachment evaluation, floodplain analysis, flood mitigation planning, watershed assessment, stream restoration, storm water management and computer modeling
  • Collaborates with Drainage Discipline Staff on the development of water resource management plans
  • Design watershed storm water management practices
  • Summarizes findings of hydrologic and hydraulic studies in reports to regulatory agencies

 

Work is generally performed in a professional office environment with intensive use of computer and peripherals required.  Some site visits may be required.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent education and experience
  • One to 4 years experience or the equivalent thereof with some familiarity in site development, plan preparation, drainage, Chapter 102 and Chapter 105 Permit Regulations and/or other Civil Engineering processes
  • Engineering in Training (E.I.T.) license preferred
  • Must have experience with Microstation, Inroads, HY-8, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, VTPSUHM
