74th Annual PSPE Conference
As expected, the Lincoln and Harrisburg Chapters hosted a very successful State Conference in Gettysburg this past June. It was well attended and the entire conference was a high quality event, well worth the monetary cost needed to attend. Educational sessions such as “Pennsylvania Engineer’s Licensing Codes, Regulations and Violations” presented by Robert C. Grubic, P.E. of HRG, “Infrastructure Challenges and Improvements for the Pennsylvania Turnpike” presented by Gary L. Graham the Assistant Chief Engineer from the PA Turnpike, and “Engineers in the Civil War” presented by Gustav Person the Installation Historian from Ft. Belvoir, were not only interesting but we also received 6.5 PDH’s for the entire day! In addition to the education sessions, Abe Lincoln was a historic hit at the Friday night dinner and Governor Richard Thornburgh and his wife, Ginny, were no less than charming and witty at the 74th Annual PSPE Installation and Awards Banquet. If you missed this year’s conference, make a point to consider attending next’s year’s event which is currently being planned to be held with the NSPE Northeast meeting for the Fall of 2009.
