January 5th - Board of Director's Meeting Minutes The meeting followed the Agenda prepared by President Carl DuPoldt. The Meeting began at 8:15 am at the Little Inn in Media. 1. Attending Susan Best, John Nawn, Carl DuPoldt, Bill Mulloy John Pickett, Eileen Nelson, Jack Smyth, Christine Hilditch, Walter Kleponis, Carol Kleponis. Kevin Matson came after the meeting. 2. Notes of the October 13, 2006 meeting were approved. 3. State Directors Report The State Legislature passed the Continuing Professional Competency (CPC) Act. The new regulations require 24 Professional Development Hours per two years. They start in 2008,and will be effective for the 2009 renewal. The next State Directors meeting will be in Harrisburg on Saturday Jan.20th. Jack Smyth is giving up his Secretary and State Director's Positions. A State Conference will be held on May 31 in Reading. The NSPE is holding up payment of dues to the PSPE. 4. Treasurer's Report A Report dated January 2 2007 ,prepared by Mike Ciocco, was distributed in Mike' absence. SE Vice Presidents Report Stanton - John Nawn gave a brief update on PSPE activities 6. Programs January 17th Ed Magargee February 22th Engineer of the Year March 21st - PSPE/ASCE Infrastructure Initiative presented by Chris Menna and Mark Tiger April 18th - Chris Hildich is arranging a tour of the Covanta facility May 16th - Awards Meeting - Mathcounts, Delaware County Science Fair and Scholarships May? - Golf Outing - Raj Arora - Pending June?
